Our Christmas trio is back by popular demand! Three dates to get your Christmas cooking 100% ready. Leave the hard work to Santa, put your feet up knowing your fridge and freezer are stocked and your festive foodies treats are ready and waiting.
Over three Saturdays our Christmas trio gives a bit of ‘you time’ to learn some new skills, whilst you spend a day getting ahead for the festive season – from canapés and cakes to get ahead meals in the freezer and even foodie gifts ….. not forgetting the mince pies for Santa on Christmas Eve. By the big day you will have a festive feast for your family and friends to enjoy. In each class you will make recipes to freeze down, cakes to finish decorating and even some gifts to give to your loved ones. How the days go….
On arrival at Truro School Cafe at 9.45 you will be greeted with an Origin coffee and freshly baked pastries. At 10am you will invited through to the Cookery School to don your apron and gather around our large teaching island. Your cookery teacher will demonstrate the first dish of the day, with overhead cameras capturing the finer details. Now is time for some hands-on cooking, as you head to your fully equipped cooking bay where trays of pre prepared ingredients will be waiting. Cooking will commence, with your teacher pausing the class at convenient times to demonstrate a technique, or the next dish.
At around 3pm we will pop open a bottle of something delicious whilst we show you how to plate and finish the final dishes before you head home with everything you need for your own ‘feast for four’.
Aprons, tea towels and recipe cards are provided as well as all ingredients and takeaway boxes. However, please feel free to help us reduce packaging waste by bringing your own reusable containers.
