Type of Course:
We may not know the difference between set and deuce when tennis is concerned but we do know our dinner parties and it doesn’t have to be racket science.
We will teach you some cracking dishes so you can enjoy the Wimbledon finals weekend in style and impress your guests….. with a twist of tennis.
· Goats cheese with broad beans, lardons, peas and chargrilled focaccia
· Smoked garlic focaccia
· Cornish Gouda and chive tart
· Hake with tomato, caper and sautéed potato salad
· Summer berry, pistachio and rose pavlova
Plus a a bottle of wine from St Austell Brewery to wash it all down
How the day goes….
On arrival at Truro School Cafe you will be greeted with a Yallah coffee and freshly baked pastries. At 10am you will invited through to the teaching kitchen to gather around our large kitchen island. Your cookery teacher will demonstrate to you the first dish of the day, with overhead cameras capturing the finer details.
Now is time for some hands-on cooking, so you will head to your fully equipped cooking bay where you will find trays of all the ingredients waiting. Cooking will commence, with your teacher pausing the class at convenient times to demonstrate a technique, or the next dish.
At around 2.30pm we will pop open a bottle of something delicious and have a bite to eat, before heading home with everything you need for your own supper party for four.
Aprons, tea towels and refreshments provided, plus all ingredients and takeaway boxes. However, please feel free to help us reduce packaging waste by bringing your own reusable containers.
