If you keep forgetting if its jam or cream first then this is the course for you. We will take you step by step through some Cornish classics that never fail to please.
· Saffron buns
· Steak pasty with homemade tomato ketchup
· Scones with jam and clotted cream
How the day goes….
On arrival at Truro School Cafe you will be greeted with a freshly made smoothie. At 10am you will invited through to the teaching kitchen to gather around our large kitchen island. Your cookery teacher will demonstrate to you the first dish of the day, with overhead cameras capturing the finer details.
Now is time for some hands-on cooking, so you will head to your fully equipped cooking bay where you will find trays of all the ingredients waiting. Cooking will commence, with your teacher pausing the class at convenient times to demonstrate a technique, or the next dish.
At around 1.30pm we will head into out cafe for a tasty lunch and a chance to instagram some of the mornings creations, then its back to the kitchen to complete our days menu.
By 4pm you will be ready for a glass of something refreshing before heading home laden with your days dishes to share with family + friends.
Aprons, tea towels and refreshments provided, plus all ingredients and takeaway boxes. However, please feel free to help us reduce packaging waste by bringing your own reusable containers.

*Please note students will be expected to work independently, including washing up, therefore some basic kitchen and cookery knowledge is required. We cannot accommodate for children younger than 11 on this particular course, however please check our website for our Family Cooking days which accommodate all ages.*
