Truro School Cookery is a vibrant and eclectic community, with a fun loving and talented team. Whether you are a local resident, or a visitor to Cornwall, we would love for you to come and experience first-hand the fun of Truro School Cookery.
Alan Rosenthal – ‘Head of Cookery’
Alan has loved cooking ever since he was a teenager. After studying French and Spanish at university, he secured a Leiths diploma and launched his own food brand in supermarkets. He then went on to write three cookbooks, most recently Foolproof Veggie One-Pot, released in October 2022.
Alan has been a regular at Leiths School of Food and Wine for over 10 years, teaching his popular one-pot class. He has also written for national magazines and newspapers.
Alan is excited to have taken up the position of Head of Cookery at Truro School in January 2023 and looks forward to developing our proposition further over the coming months.
Tareg Morris – Cookery School Teacher
Tareg’s love and interest in all things food began when she was a child, sitting on the kitchen counter, watching and helping her Nanna prepare fresh food for dinner.
Tareg also had a passion for art and design, which led her to study Contemporary Crafts at Falmouth University. However, during her spare time, Tareg would be found in the kitchen, exploring new dishes, experimenting with ingredients, and developing recipes.
Having graduated, Tareg decided to follow her passion for food and went on to study Professional Culinary Arts at Ashburton Chefs Academy.
After graduating from Ashburton, Tareg worked in various professional kitchens in Cornwall, including a Michelin-starred restaurant, before gaining her Qualified Teacher Status. Tareg now thoroughly enjoys sharing her culinary skills and knowledge with the next generation and hopes to inspire others to find, nurture and develop their passion for food.
