Leiths Education have collaborated with Truro School to form the only Leiths partnership School in Cornwall. Sixth Form students at Truro School can enroll on the Level 3 Certificate in Tourism and Hospitality, written by Leiths Education, which can lead to opportunities for paid employment. The qualification is also highly regarded on a UCAS application and carries a significant number of UCAS points to complement traditional A-level subjects.
The purpose-built cookery school offers fully equipped workstations along with a state-of-the-art demonstration area with an overhead camera aimed to build confidence in the kitchen.
Cookery is also available to all students at Truro School Cookery as part of their Wednesday Afternoon Activity programme as well as a range of after-school clubs. The syllabus includes courses inspired by the seasonality and covers cooking as well as patisserie; valuable skills for life.
